A new season means a new Community Brew. We’ve partnered with women-focused charities and have collaborated with our favourite local breweries to create a one-of-a-kind, limited-edition brew. $1 sold from each brew from February to June will be donated to non-profit societies that are committing to helping women live violence-free lives and break the cycles of sexual violence and gender oppression.

Good Night Out Experimental Pale Ale – British Columbia

The most recent BC Beer Awards was a “good night out” for collaborating breweries Twin City Brewing (Brewery of the Year), Hoyne Brewing (Beer of the Year), Swift Brewing (Rookie of the Year), and Small Gods Brewing (Innovator of the Year). To celebrate, these breweries teamed up with some amazing local suppliers (including us!), to bring you this Quad Hopped XPA, with $1 going to Good Night Out.

$1 Donated to Good Night Out

Good Night Out is a BC-based non-profit society committed to building community capacity to prevent and respond to sexual harassment and sexual assault in all sectors, with a focus on hospitality, music, arts, and nightlife.

Hawaiian Tropic Hazy IPA – Alberta

The team at Eighty-Eight Brewing Co. created the Hawaiian Tropic Hazy IPA, a refreshingly bright brew. Hopped with sabro and galaxy to pack in flavours of tropical fruit, fuzzy peach and coconut. With the fruity finish, you’ll be convinced to have a second. This brew supports two women’s shelters: Fear Is Not Love and WIN House.

$1 Donated to Fear is Not Love & Win house

Fear is Not Love was originally known as the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter. They have evolved from their beginnings to start this new chapter in our work to end domestic violence and abuse.

WIN House exists to further non-violent relationships and environments for women and non-binary individuals with or without children. They have been serving Edmonton and the surrounding area for over five decades.

Five Ale – Ontario

Together with Blood Brothers Brewing, Five Ale was batched. The Five Ale is extra juicy, with tasting notes of citrus, passion fruit and peach. With $1 donated to Nellie’s Shelter and Harmony House, this hazy brew is undoubtedly our new favourite.

$1 Donated to Nellie’s Shelter & Harmony House

Nellie’s operates programs and services the breaks the cycle of gender-based oppression through our unwavering commitment to offering a safe 38-bed refuge for women and their children fleeing violence, poverty, and homelessness. In addition to providing a safe shelter, they offer advocacy, strength and support-based programming that empowers women to create a new path for life, free from the barriers of violence and oppression.

Harmony House is Ottawa’s only 2nd stage (transitional) shelter for women and children fleeing violence and abuse. They bridge the gap between crisis living (in an emergency shelter) and working through trauma to live independently in the community.

About the CRAFT Community Brew Program

CRAFT Community Brew began in 2011 when our doors first opened in Calgary, Alberta. Each season, we partner with a local brewery in each province to make a unique seasonal brew in support of a local charity in our community. The brew is served at each CRAFT location, and $1 from every beer sold is donated back to the selected local charity.

With every new restaurant addition, a new Community Brew program has been introduced to the local community. We have partnered with over 200 local charities across 3 different provinces and together with our amazing brewery partners, have donated over $150,000.
